Like a Teatray in the Sky - Art Cafe - Osbourne Road, Southsea

This quirky new Cafe has just recently opened and it's owners Sam and Nicky Foot also of The King Street Tavern have branched out (so to speak) and opened a vintage tearoom.

Not only can you purchase a scrummy piece of cake (with several beautifully displayed to choose from) and a pot of tea, but there is also the opportunity to purchase items from local artists and designers.

They are currently looking for artists, designers, illustrators, photographers etc to get in touch with a view to selling their work in their shop and tea room. Please contact Sam for further details – sam@thekingstreettavern.co.uk

I'm backing this place all the way, as Sam and Nicky are two lovely people with a good eye for what the locals want, with the Tavern a roaring success as proof of this fact.

I wish my local landlord and landlady all the best with this new venture!

  1. Had a cream tea here and sadly was very disappointed! 1x pot of tea 4 tiny scones and two expresso cups of cream and jam plus a few strawberries set me back £10 ,£5 pp! Although it was tasty I feel it was very over priced, I wont be returning

  2. I had exactly the same, Ms Anon, and it was delicious, beautifully presented and in lovely surroundings. What more could you want? Top marks Tea Tray xx

  3. Had a delicious afternoon tea here, endless supplies of tea and far more cakes and sandwiches than we could possibly fit in. - All specially prepared for my non-dairy needs. I found the proprietors to be friendly, quirky and very personable.
